Our Mission

The TSRC is an international group of clinicians and researchers studying the science of safety and connection.  Our mission is to advance the understanding of trauma and safety by exploring their impact on the brain and body.

The consortium is committed to furthering the understanding of survivor experiences using a multi-method approach to the study of trauma. We collaborate with trauma clinicians and researchers to conduct research using self-reports and objective sensor-based measures. Our research focuses on documenting a range of outcomes following trauma including mental and physical health, social wellbeing, resilience, and personal meaning.

β€œThe founding of the Traumatic Stress Research Consortium represents an important landmark in my personal journey to understand how we, as humans, deal with challenges ranging from day-to-day stressors to life-threatening experiences.”
